Jerzy Kochanowski (b. 1960)

Member of the editorial team of Przegląd Historyczny since 2003, deputy editor-in-chief in 2010–2012, editor-in-chief in 2013–2019.

MA in 1984, University of Warsaw; doctorate and habilitation also at the University of Warsaw: 1991 and 2001. He has worked at the Institute of History, University of Warsaw, since 1988, first as lecturer, then assistant professor (from 1991), from 2005 as University of Warsaw professor and since 2012 as associate professor. In 1994–2000 lecturer at the Theatre Academy in Warsaw; 2000–2005 researcher at the German Historical Institute in Warsaw. In 2007 visiting professor at the University of Mainz; 2011–2012 senior fellow at the Imre-Kertesz-Kolleg in Jena. Member of the “Karta” Foundation Board, the Advisory Board of the History Meeting House (since 2006) and Advisory Board of the Jewish Historical Institute in Warsaw (2009–2010 and since 2013). In 1994–1995 deputy editor-in-chief of Mówią Wieki.
