Maciej Mycielski (b. 1965)

Member of the Przegląd Historyczny editorial team since 2022. Editor-in-chief since 2025.

MA from the University of Warsaw 1988; PhD (also UW) 2000, post-doctoral degree (habilitacja) 2012.

In 2002–2005 deputy Director of the Institute of History, University of Warsaw, for student affairs. In 2005–2019 member of the Teaching Commission of the Institute of History’s Advisory Board.

In 2013–2020 Deputy Chair of the Institute of History’s Advisory Board. In 2020 Chair of the Teaching Board of the “History” and “Jewish History and Culture” programmes; currently member of that board.

Research interests: political history of Poland and history of political thought of the first
half of the nineteenth century, history of higher education.
