Marek A. Janicki (b. 1971)

Member of the Przegląd Historyczny editorial team since 2016. Editor-in-chief since 2022.

Born in 1971, MA at the Institute of History, University of Warsaw in 1996, PhD in 2002, since 2004 assistant professor at the Department of Auxiliary Sciences and Methodology of History, secretary of the Institute of History for research in 2005–2006, chair of the Library Commission of the Advisory Board of the Institute of History (now Faculty of History), University of Warsaw since 2013. Habilitation in 2016.

Research interests

Poland and Lithuania in the fourteenth–sixteenth centuries: socio-political and cultural transformations (humanism, the Reformation, parliamentarism, diplomacy, royal chancellery and the court, art and literary culture); source studies and editing (especially of narrative, epistolographic and epigraphic sources).
